For those of you who may not know, The T-7A Red Hawk is a two-seat, single-engine jet built by Boeing to replace the U.S. Air Force's fleet of T-38 Talon training jets. The overall T-7 pilot training program will involve real aircraft working in concert with ground-based simulators in an integrated, live-virtual-constructive (I-LVC) training environment.
ASTi's Telestra™ audio and communications system provides network-based cockpit comms and the highest fidelity aural cues and environmental audio for the simulators. Meanwhile, ASTi Voisus® systems interface directly with Jotron ED-137 radios to provide radio-over-IP bridging between live and simulated aircraft. Together, these ASTi technologies provide the most realistic training environment for the ground-based trainees as well as the flexibility for the USAF to easily switch between LVC training scenarios.
