Advanced Simulation Technology inc, (ASTi) has announced the delivery of a Voisus simulated radio communications system to the US Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. DMOC is the Air Force hub for simulation-based combat training, testing, and experimentation. The facility integrates Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and coalition partner simulations to realize a synthetic battle space that models weapons and command, control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems. ASTi's Voisus system provides the distributed voice communications backbone for DMOC, linking training facilities across worldwide defense networks.
For over 20 years, DMOC has relied on ASTi to provide a highly realistic simulated radio communications environment for the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) program. This latest delivery accomplishes a significant modernization of ASTi equipment, replacing first-generation products with their fifth-generation counterparts. The system also provides a great expansion in voice communications capacity, supplying 300 operator consoles with ASTi application software running on a touchscreen panel, an aviation-style headset, and push-to-talk switch.
DMOC also benefits from ASTi's software and information assurance (IA) maintenance service. This delivers software updates for access to the latest product capabilities and continuing security patch coverage to facilitate the accreditation required for operation in mission-critical environments on DOD classified networks. ASTi provides full technical support to DMOC, including onsite fielding services, product installation, validation testing, and new equipment training.
