Flexible Deployment Solutions

I/ITSEC 2015 | What's New

In a broad and rapidly evolving industry like ours, it's almost impossible to devise a "one size fits all" method for delivering training to the point of need. Installing servers in a rack for each training capability is sometimes not possible, and at other times forbidden. That's why ASTi offers a variety of product deployment options to meet each program's unique requirements. They are:

1. Integrated software and hardware packages available in a number of different configurations, ranging from industrial, rackmount servers to miniature enclosures offering reduced size, weight and power consumption

2. Virtualized and OS-native software options running on Customer-Furnished and Government-Furnished Equipment (CFE/GFE)

3. Centralized, cloud-based solutions to deliver Software as a Service (SaaS) and Training as a Service (TaaS) on demand

We also offer enterprise licensing and other sustainment services like software and IA maintenance programs to provide maximum value to large-scale, distributed training initiatives.

"Some of our customers may be surprised to learn that ASTi has been delivering software-only, desktop and enterprise-grade virtualization solutions for over 6 years," said Jeff Mowery, ASTi's Director of Project Engineering.

One example of ASTi's cloud deployment capabilities is our Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA) service. It is a subscription-based, commercial pilot training tool that runs in the cloud, delivering Training as a Service (TaaS) anywhere in the world. And, although SERA is aimed at the commercial training market, we have used similar technology on private DoD networks under the IA-approved ESXi framework for military training applications.

Call ASTi to learn more about our deployment options and how to maximize the value for your solution.

This is not the kind of cloud that we're talking about.
